The moment we accept Jesus as our Lord and be baptized, we have a new identity and are adopted into a new family - becoming the children of God. We can then call God the Creator our 'Heavenly Father' (or 'Abba Father').
(John 3:5, Acts 22:16, Romans 6:3-4, John 1:12, Galatians 4:6, Mark 16:16)
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Mark 16:16

At the same time, the Spirit of the Lord, i.e. the Holy Spirit, comes and starts living in us. Holy Spirit is our comforter, teacher, and counselor that helps us to live a life that is according to the truth. (Acts 2:38-41, Titus 3:4-7, John 14:26)
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
John 14:26
Helper (3875. paraklétos): an advocate, intercessor, a consoler, comforter, helper.

All Scripture of the Bible is given by the inspiration of God and it is the word of God. The Holy Spirit is the author of the entire Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 1:20-21
The Holy Spirit who lives in us today is the same One, so God will definitely still be speaking to us!
He even longs to speak to us. He longs to be in a personal relationship with His own children.
You can definitely hear the voice of God!
